Fisher claims home victory

Sep 14 2010Liverpool Daily Post

HUYTON and Prescot professional golfer John Fisher won the Frank Till Trophy when the Liverpool Alliance opened its autumn-winter season on his home course recently.

Fisher did not drop even one shot to par on the way to a 43 points total, five clear of second place Nick Sargent from Eastham Lodge.

Fisher, with club amateur Keith Wilson, also managed to win the am-am with 47 points.

The trophy was presented by professional Neil Brazell form Regents Park, Bolton and Keith Wilson in appreciation of Frank Till's years of service to the Alliance. Frank first played golf at Bolton Municipal more than 50 years ago before joining Huyton and Prescot more than 40 years ago.
